What Originle is
Originle is a free browser geography game at originle.io. A guest describes the country they represent through eight short video clues, with three guesses to name it. The clues are about roots and culture, not necessarily present residence. Published editions follow midnight in America/New_York; if the schedule runs out, the game says new puzzles are coming soon. Past guests remain playable in the archive.
The definition and rules were checked on October 23, 2026 against the official interface code, scoring implementation and 19 published guest files. The official FAQ describes the guests as real people. This independent guide is not the game operator.

A note on roots
The official panel says many guests are part of a diaspora. You guess the country they are representing through roots and culture, not necessarily the country they live in. An American or Australian accent does not mean the answer is the United States or Australia.
Questions
What is Originle?
A free daily game at originle.io. One real guest, eight video clues, three guesses, 10,000 points for a perfect solve.
How many guesses do I get?
Three. You can also give up. A miss keeps 70 percent of the points you still have.
What time does Originle reset?
Midnight in America/New_York. That is 04:00 UTC while daylight time is in effect, and 05:00 UTC otherwise.
Is Originle free, and is there an app?
The official game is free to play in a browser. No native-app download is linked from originle.io as of October 23, 2026; a home-screen web app is not evidence of an official store release.
Who do I write if I want to be a guest?
The official form linked from originle.io. Selected guests are paid $25. Applying does not require a recording.
Who made Originle?
The public contact is [email protected], and the guest form says it was created inside krillion. See the Krillion page for how strong that evidence is.
Can I play past Originle puzzles?
Yes. The official archive at originle.io/?archive=1 provides the published guests. Our archive links each edition to hints, its source file and a replay.
Is there an official unlimited mode?
No unlimited mode is advertised on originle.io as of October 23, 2026. Replay its archive, or read the unlimited page to distinguish unrelated practice games.
Are the guests real people?
The official FAQ says every guest is a real person. The recruitment form requests personal recordings after selection. This is operator evidence, not an independent forensic audit of all videos.
Is originle.com the same game?
No. originle.com presents a daily forenames and name-origins quiz. The guest-video country game is originle.io.
